The Data Science Institute, in conjunction with the Jefferson Trust and the Office of the Vice President for Research, is offering graduate fellowships for the 2014-2015 academic year in the amount of $20,000 per student for collaborative research in the area of “Big Data.” These fellowships are designed to encourage students from diverse disciplines (e.g. humanities and engineering; genomics and business; personalized medicine and law) to work together, inform and enhance one another’s existing research, and engage in creative endeavors through the use and analysis of complex data sets.
In order to facilitate the formation of collaborations and foster interdisciplinary engagement the Gradute Studies Office is sponsoring a number of events and opportunities designed to promote conversations both within and between disciplines. Please click on the links below for more information.
