This summer Fellowship Workshop Series supports graduate students who are planning to apply for graduate or postgraduate fellowship opportunities. Participants gain insight into what reviewers are looking for, develop a better understanding of what made past applications successful, begin drafting application materials that highlight individual experiences and strengths, receive small group feedback on personal and research statement ideas, and more. This series is applicable to students in ANY field. Join us for a virtual info session on the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program. This fellowship is a career gateway that can provide you 1) real-world experience working in NNSA program and site offices making significant contributions to the nation, 2) specialized training, leadership and career development, and networking, and 3) collaboration with professionals and leading researchers in activities and events around the world. The NNSA offers more than 70 positions annually, typically in areas of nuclear security and nonproliferation policy and technology, national security research and development, and business and project management. Multiple UVA graduate students have successfully obtained NNSA Fellowships in the past, including two last year. During this info session, you will hear from a current fellow from UVA, and will learn more about the program and the application process.
