International PhD Career Bootcamp 5: Application Materials

PhD Plus International PhD Career Development Bootcamp comprises 5 interactive sessions. Starting on June 7th and concluding on June 11th of 2021, we will kick off this summer with a 90-minutes session each day to tackle topics commonly faced by PhD candidates and Postdocs with an international background. This series is best suited for PhD students in their candidacy, and Postdoctoral Scholars at all stages of training.  SESSION TOPICS Day 1: Today's Career Landscape for PhDs: Focusing on Your Skills and Competencies (Monday, June 7) Day 2: Immigration Options for Academic Careers and Diverse Sectors (Tuesday, June 8) Day 3: Strengths for International PhDs: (Re)Framing and Building Connections (Wednesday, June 9) Day 4: Strategies for Job Search and Application Materials (Thursday, June 10) Day 5: Putting an Application Together (Friday, June 11) Day 5 Plan Debrief on Day 4 and overview for Day 5 Peer-review to provide feedback on application materials Group debrief on strategies observed and share with the larger group Series summary and assessment REGISTRATION
