This is the first session of the 5-week PhD Plus Fall 2022 Foundations Series.  SESSION DESCRIPTION In this session, we will discuss and uncover “the hidden curriculum” of graduate school to help you navigate the transitions in graduate studies. We will also look at goals and milestones common to one’s academic journey, skills, and personal and career development to help you think about what you want to achieve during your graduate program. INSTRUCTOR Yi Hao, Ph.D. -  Yi Hao (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Director of Graduate Professional Development at the University of Virginia, working on university-wide initiatives to support graduate students and postdocs in pursuing versatile career pathways. With a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, Dr. Hao’s research focuses on adult learning and faculty and leadership development in two-year and four-year institutions with a focus on institutional and disciplinary contexts.
