This is the first session of the PhD+ Summer 2021 Mini-Foundations series.  The challenges in graduate school and Postdoc training may cause significant stress, anxiety, and imposter fears. In this interactive workshop, learn some strategies of building resilience to nip imposter fears in the bud and tame negative thoughts to reduce stress from building up. Moreover, build self-awareness around your unique individual strengths through the well-researched instrument. This will enable you to meet challenges in a fashion that works best for you. INSTRUCTOR Yi Hao, Ph.D. – Yi Hao (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Director of Graduate Professional Development at the University of Virginia, working on university-wide initiatives to support graduate students and postdocs in pursuing versatile career pathways. With a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, Dr. Hao’s research focuses on adult learning, gender issues, and faculty and leadership development in two-year and four-year institutions with a focus on institutional and disciplinary contexts.   Please register by July 1 to receive a Zoom link.
